It's ok as far as books go.I doubt that the topic has much mass appeal.As a primer it is a good place to start.However, it is dated.In terms of metrology, there are several additional advnces in quality controlpast what is covered in this book.The current standard (for NASA) is Z540.3.... this has not been fully realised wihtin NASA - and, general ignored within the industry.An earlier version - Z540.1 - is accepted and achievable.This book goes up thru ISO900 and a bit of 17025.As a basic staring point, this book covers basic concepts.The details and functional equations for uncertainty analysis are not covered.it is more anectdotal as to why quality control should exist - than a practical application manual.

Quality Control is a complicated topic, this book did not make it any easier. After all the online search gave more detailed and better presented information.The book goes into details where it seems obvious but other complicated topics are considered easy to follow and no additional information is provided.Normally a big fan of the dummies Serie but not this one.

This book provided a lot of helpful information for a novice to Quality Control. It presented the information in a way that was easy to digest, and put in terms I could understand a newcomer to the industry. The only thing that got me confused was some of the statistical process guides were riddled with nomenclature and processes that kept me feeling like there was a class I should have taken just before buying this book.Overall it's a good referance to have at your desk, and an asset to anyone just getting into QC work that needs help with terminology and general scope of practice.

As someone that has spent countless hours scouring the internet for information on this for a new position at work, this is the BEST book I have found that covers everything. I've always been a fan of the For Dummies books and this one did not disappoint. If you have no idea where to begin in this area, then this book is for you.

Bought it as a gag gift for a non-quality coworker. There is a lot of useful quality information in this book.

I really liked that book. If you are a newbie to quality and not sure if quality is the route you would like to go, this book will help you to understand the basics of quality and how to get started.I read the book chapter by chapter to get a good overview of all discussed metrics and tools. Liked the links to other topics as it helps to research it in case you are not sure about this method, tool...One improvement I would like to suggest is that each chapter contains a test section. The questions would provide the reader feedback if his/her understanding of the chapter is in sync with the author's one.

I bought this book to get a better understanding of a 5S quality system and I have learned much more than just 5S. If you are interested in any of the quality concepts, this is the book for you. Because it is part of the Dummies series, it is easy to understand and full of great information. Super book, super information, all at a super price!

A good sequel to the previous books. Though a bit short. To story is still progressing as the characters develop.

I started this series because the first one somehow ended up in my path, and there was something about the artwork that made me put it in my library. It sat there for some time before I got around to reading it recently, very recently. Since then I have blazed through the first four, not really noticing that they were getting so much better until this fourth book, whereupon I realized, "Wait, I'm hooked, when did this happen? I hope the next one is already written." So at the moment I am writing this review, but half my brain is wondering if I am going to be rewarded with the next book when I finish and check if the fifth book is out yet or not. To the author, keep writing, this is good work, and the world needs more of it....after all, that's what it is all about.

Looks like this will be a good series with interesting characters, plot and lots of excitement. Looking forward to the next book

Characters are good. Plot is awesome. Editing is spot on. Everything seems well thought out and seamless. Keep writing, don't quit.

I have read all 4 of the finished books. Looking forward to Book 5! I love good stories about strong women. I prefer my stories to have a touch of magic, too. So these are perfect. Please keep writing!

This book is great for creating your own scenes. It has awesome little designs that can be used alone or can be used to create your own scenes that are one of a kind. I've only done 2 of the patterns (from the Spaced Out section) so far but I love the book. I'd recommend it to a beginner or someone more advanced in cross stitching. I've shared a few photos of the patterns so people can have an idea of what they're buying.

I love cross stitch. I recently got back in to it and so far have not found many good books that I like on cross stitch. I am in my 20's so I am not looking for floral, cutsie, or older patterns. Now I do like this book because of the variety and plan on putting them on some of my cases and jeans but they are not big patterns. they are all about 2 to 3 inches max (except one of a dinosaur theme) you could make a scenes out of the small patterns he has. I bought this book on a whim and so far I like it. These patterns are also all full cross stitches no half stitches or outlining so this book is ideal for a beginner.Example of whats in the book:Dinosaurs,Robots, Monsters, Spacemen, Insects, Skulls, Safari theme, Electronics theme, Tiger, Make up.Book also gives details on the many types of things you can applique and how to applique with cross stitch.Only reason I gave for stars is because these are all easy cross stitch patterns none are hard or detailed. Was look for something more challenging I guess. Overall a great book. I plan on using and keeping in my book shelf.

I'm a nut for tiny cross stitch patterns, something I can sit down and do in one sitting, and this book doesn't fail to provide. Not full of cute little flowers and butterflies, I can now quickly stitch dinos, robots, rocket ships and monsters galore!I also love the project ideas. Stitching on peg board would have NEVER occurred to me before, and now I'm looking for a valid reason to try it for myself.

I enjoy hobbies such as cross stitch, but I prefer to create more avantgarde and non-girly pieces. This book has numerous smaller, non-traditional designs, as well as the basic instructions for any beginner. Someone with more experience will find inspiring ideas to add into their next design.

Not what I was looking for... if you want dinosaurs and robots then this book is for you

Admittedly, I haven't yet started to take up cross stitch, but all I have to do is look at the cover of this book and it re-inspires me. The designs on this book are fun and from what I can tell, not too complicated. I love the trend of making fun, hip, cool cross stitch designs. I'm totally going to bedazzle one of my shirts.

This is a great book for those who love to cross stitch random cute things! Instructions are easy to follow.

I’ve rarely seen a Customer Review listing with so many people who are clearly not the “usual reviewers.” These are business people who are positively gushing about Mark Roberge and the write-up of his 6 years as VP of Sales for HubSpot. The only hint of criticism is that his techniques worked for him in a specialized industry, but they might not be so effective for other companies in other industries.I’ve spent 40+ years developing training (mostly sales training) including stints at two tech companies that aspired to do what HubSpot is clearly excelling at. Working and consulting for big, famous companies and smaller companies showed me that every company—regardless of their business and sales strategy—will absolutely benefit from reading this book. The stories he tells, the way his selling initiatives fit together, the combination of selling and technology he describes … even the use cases he lists make the approach that Roberge describes applicable to any sales organization—however well-entrenched.While he implies that he had no right to be so successful because of a lack of selling experience, that’s perhaps why Roberge was/is so successful. He had no legacy of selling assumptions to overcome, no selling organization politics to get around, no technology in place to have to work off of. What a great opportunity to work from the bottom up and put something in place that could be tested. When I worked for a company that built sales simulations for companies like IBM, BellSouth and others, we assumed that those clients had their sales processes fully documented and ready to build into a series of selling steps. We never met a client where that was the case, and it took months to get agreement about what those best practices really were. I loved how Roberge could get started on different aspects of his sales operations—after hiring his initial salespeople, conducting his initial training classes, training his first sales managers, trying out new technology, and on and on—and then use that experience to make things always better.This is an exciting book because it shows not only how you can intertwine Sales with other functions but really how Sales can and must lead the way in how the organization runs. Because let’s face it … without successful sales sooner rather than later you’ve got nothing. Roberge’s final sentiment to get Sales the respect they deserve is the perfect touch. This book clearly deserves all the enthusiasm and passion it’s generating.

I've read quite a few sales-related books as an entrepreneur but none of them truly resonated with me, until this one came along. It's very practical and shows a much more scientific approach with actionable advice in every chapter. It demonstrates a lot of the latest techniques to build a strong sales team and scale your operation effectively, but most importantly: predictably. That's the key word throughout the book, and it's a key word in sales. How do you codify great sales people (how to find and train them), and how can you replicate their success? This book provides some answers, and we're already putting them to the test in our company.

This book is fundamental for anyone looking to getting a better understanding of not just sales but creating a revenue stream model for a business. I have worked in startup land for quite some time now and this book has an authentic twist on sales from methodology to identifying noise and adjusting accordingly. It's important to note that the other is not only from a reputable organization that has transcended numerous organizations, including some I've worked for. But also because he does not come from a sales background, in fact he's an engineer by trait. This unique combo isn't typically found to be successful so his insight is extremely validated. Additionally, my favorite part of the book is his attempt to changed the vexing outlook that people have towards sales. His explanation on addressing the dogma of others in the profession is not only inspiring, but also thought provoking. A job well done with the Sales Acceleration Formula! Brilliant.

I see this as helping sales gain academic respect for rigor and hypothesis testing. A must buy for all sales management and stars who wish to go further.
