Stephan's book is a very good guide to the trading style Tom Sosnoff and Tony Battista have developed and built their company around. tastytrade,com is a wealth of information that is constantly being updated with current research. The only downside is, it takes hours/days/months to absorb all the video. Stephan's book goes a long way towards filling that gap with a well organized and complete book.Stephan has done the best job yet of presenting the tastytrade trading style and mechanics in a clear, concise way. His book breaks down all the trades like a reference manual. I keep it open all day as I trade. The yellow quick reference notes at the end of each section are great.His second book does a good job of explaining the mitigation mechanics to use when a trade goes bad. I would have liked more on portfolio management and maintaining a delta neutral portfolio and why it is important.Stephan has been very supportive of our trading group here in Minneapolis. His blog allows a new trader to follow along as he trades and to be confident he is the real deal and not some guy trying to sell books. I hope Stephan continues writing. He has a clear, easy to read style. He is making a great contribution to the growing tastytrade community.Thank you Stephan for a very good book!

This book is a good notebook for the Tasty Trade Mechanical approach to trading. It will save you time, rather then making a notebook of the overall strategy.My only comments are; the Graphics/Pictures in the kindle book, read on an ipad are not that clear. It would be great of the publisher was able to upload crisper pictures. Also, it would be nice to be able to access from from amazon's cloud reader; since alot of trading is done from the desktop.Overall, i recommend this book for a stater, and reference for traders that have spent time reviewing the tastytrade videos. Which or course, are available for free online.

Looking back in time a few years ago a friend of mine told me if I want to learn how to trade efficiently the stock market should watch the Tasty Trade Channel on YouTube and learn from them. After following his advice, I found myself super overwhelmed cause on top of not getting to understand well the mechanics of trading options, cause is very difficult at first. I guess because I wasn’t so serious about it, I quit trying and focused more on day trading stocks and futures. Now after the time had pass and see the advantages of trading options vs day trading, I decide to learned how to trade options again and I feel very fortunate today to the author of this book Stephan Haller took the time and effort to create this book. To anybody who is interested in learn how to trade options the tasty trade way in a short and easy way to understand this is the perfect book for you.

Stephan Haller has done a great job boiling down tastytrade education into just 1 book.I have been following tastytrade for a year and after reading this book, my confidence and ability to turn profits has gone up exponentially. The book does it for you in terms of organizing and simplifying the tastytrade knowledge.And YES! if you can order pizza, you can trade. I have been following and learning the Tastytrade style of investing for over a year. This book is a good review of how to trade like the Tastytraders. It explains options and different types of trades. I found it helpful that I knew some of this beforehand when reading the book. The book clarified ideas that I had seen before but did not quite understand.

His master's degree from Bemidji State University is in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Construction. He received bachelors'degrees in Vocational Education and Industrial Technology in Construction from the University of South Dakota in Springfield, South Dakota. Dr. Andera has served as the Director of Education and Safety at Associated Builders and Contractors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I recently purchased this book but it was not what I thought. This book is a practice manual but when I ordered it the display stated that it was a textbook.

This book is a classic example of the cliche "those that can't do, teach" (which by the way I don't usually agree with) . I doubt that Mr. Kicklighter has ever held a trowel in his hand. Lots of information, only some of it accurate.

The reader feels awfully sorry for Nonso. He seems like a nice enough man who is continually being taken advantage of and...duped. At the same time, the protagonist's naivete, his compulsive behavior, and his poor decision-making render him a little buffoonish---and, ultimately, the author offers us no light at the end of the tunnel---not one ray of hope---in what becomes a somewhat purposeless tale, a big dark cloud behind which there is not a glimmer of redemption---for anyone. Is the book "epic?" Not by a long shot is Nonso an epic hero. Any critical comparison of Nonso to Odysseus is irrelevant. This is no wily adventurer weaving his way back to faithful wife, son and kingdom. This is not a man who lives by his wits, who commands respect and admiration. So, is he a tragic hero? Sort of. If we go with the idea of an internal flaw---or flaws---that bring the hero to his own demise. Nonso is a bad thinker. That's his fatal flaw. Additionally, who would crucify a hawk against a barn door? Something is fatally wrong with Nonso. In that old familiar area of dramatic catharsis, we do feel some pity and fear for the "hero", but we are glad, as we exit the theater, that we are not him. The problem is---we are not sure what lesson we are to take from Nonso's "fall." What WAS the author's intention?? This is a horrifying and frustrating novel---not so much for what is done to Nonso, but for what he does to himself. He seems a luckless and brainless character. Everything he touches turns to crap. He seems to be in a cage of his own making. Kind of a self-ruined man.

I wanted to like this book since reviewers I read seemed inspired by it. It was way too long, with entirely too many side trips into long detail that did not propel the story forward in any real way. The repetitiveness of storyline made it very difficult for me to return to it with anticipation but as more of a slog. The writing style seemed to shift from the first part of the book where it moved along well enough into the minutia of the latter two-thirds of the book.

The reader is quickly immersed in a captivating drama about one man’s quest to defy the odds, overcome numerous hardships and win back the woman of his dreams. Heart-breaking and poignant Obioma broke my heart, but also I am now a devoted fan. I think this is a must read.

A tour de force and also a tour of Nigeria and Cyprus but most amazingly, a tour of a marvelous cosmology led by an engaging, if sometimes baffling (happily) chi of a character who has all of Odysseus’s tribulations and then some.

Interesting take on mankind and how he wrestles with life choices. The chi narrative adds an outsider twist!

What a lovely expression of the Igbo people's religion and culture!

it got slow. Real slow in the middle. Could not finish.

Emotionally exhausting for me and then there was the ending!!!Love how Obioma unravels a story, using the voice of the chias the narrator was indeed unique and leaves you thinking.

As advertised. The fermented garlic carrots taste like candy. I went from knowing a little about fermentation, to creating 2 jars of garlic carrots, to now 11 jars of a huge assortment of different fermented vegetables. The lactic acid is candy to my taste buds. Highly recommended.

"100 Step by Step Home Fermentation Recipes" ?? Not so much !A few True recipes, then simply variations on some of the safe ferments. ….As well. , this book is.not much of a teaching tool ,but a "Health" treatise. As is often seen, undocumented "Claims" about the benefits of fermented foods.There are actually only 27 out of 190 pages that could be called "Step by Step" instructions...There are many better RECIPE books on the market. Seek those before this one

I really love this book, it has 9 full chapter of tasty, easy to follow recipes. It's a great fermentation book for beginners like myself. From making your own pickles, to trying something like, making crème fraiche, there's also really easy bread recipes, I've always wanted to bake breads but never had the courage until now, thanks to this book I've gotten over my fears of working in the kitchen with ingredients like yeast. It is not only a book that teaches you what we all know as "pickling" but teaches fermentation in all its forms.Being from a Mexican background we ferment lots of foods, and I love this book because it taught me there's more to fermenting than the basic pickle. A must read for those who like to experiment in the kitchen.

This is a great book. I am a beginner in my quest to learn about fermented foods, and this book is easy to read and understand. It contains many recipes in various categories of fermented foods. Recipe do not generally call for whey as do recipes in other books I have read.

I like the book and I love the recipes down side is it calls for using whey or other items to make the product. Or some of the average temps need to be high which is impossible to keep like 100 degrees for cheese. I purchased for fermented food recipes and in that aspect it delivered.

I have regularly made sauerkraut and kimchi, and bought this book to expand my offerings of fermented products. So far I have tried the curtido, with good success. This book is written at just the right level for an enthusiastic amateur like me.

This book had me at Kimchi and hooked me with pickles and naan. I love the ease of the recipes and the variety of the recipes. Once thing I really liked about the books it the fermented pickle troubleshooting page. There was a list of common pickling problems associated with different types of pickles. For example dark pickles can be caused by the pickling water containing a lot of iron or is alkaline. It also can be cause by contact with reactive metals during the process. There are lots of tips and tricks throughout the different chapters and also include a skill level for each recipe. I do wish there were some more quicker recipes if your in a time crunch ,but most don't take too long considering the process. I'm so excited I was able to read this book at a discount in exchange for my honest review and with the summer months here now I am looking forward to trying the watermelon salsa this weekend. This is a great book whether you are beginner or a expert in the fermentation world.

I have never been interested in doing my own Fermentation, but reading this book I am ready to try. Starts you out on getting to know what the term means and some background information. Lets you know the health benefits and some of the different methods.Even gives you some troubleshooting information. Lots of great recipes. Breaking them into categories fruits, vegetables, ect. I am now ready to make my own Ranch dressing!

I bought this book to study Aquinas on natural law. Dr. Budziszewski is witty and entertaining, and a gifted teacher. He makes each line of Aquinas clear, using the translation of the Dominican Fathers and his own translation side by side. The insights he offers in his commentaries are a joy to read! I leave each passage feeling enlightened and energized to think about what I've read and excited to read more!

This book is one of the clearest explications of St. Thomas's doctrine of law that you'll find. It is chock-full of insight into some of the more difficult passages in the Summa and is burnished with wit in their explanation. About the Author

KARA COONEY is a professor of Egyptology at UCLA. Her academic work focuses on death preparations, afterlife beliefs, and gender studies. She has participated in digs with the Metropolitan Museum of New York at the Royal Pyramid complex of Senwosret III and the Theban Necropolis with Johns Hopkins University. She appeared as a lead expert in the popular Discovery Channel special The Secrets of Egypt's Lost Queen, and is a recurring team member of the History Channel's Digging for the Truth. Her book The Woman Who Would Be King was published in 2014.

Like a bad History Channel show, this book panders to the sensationalist, tabloid mindset audience. Prof Cooney is far too fond of conspiracies within the royal court and hyping the role of the harem as sexual stimulation for the king. She constantly presents her conjectures as established facts; and while it is almost impossible to know the thoughts and mindset of people so far removed from the present, Prof Cooney repeatedly makes statements about what these ancient people thought. For example, she refers to the early Dynastic era court of Merneith as "bloodthirsty", and claims that royal males were sacrificed after the new Pharaoh was chosen - despite no concrete proof whatsoever that any of the male human sacrifices were of royal blood.It would take far too long to list all the items in this book that hit the wrong note with me - and there were quite a lot of them! - but I feel a need to mention a few of the more egregious. The reign of Hatshepsut and the Amarna Period are my own areas of special interest, and therefore rang the most false. That a ruler as evidently competent as Hatshepsut had to "buy off" the officials of the court and temple in order to remain in power is frankly insulting. And claiming that she was "lost to cultural memory" when girls of later generations were named Maatkare - her kingly throne name, NOT her personal name - overlooks the evidence to the contrary. Thutmose IV - the grandson of Thutmose III, who destroyed many of her monuments - held her in such high regard that he added his own name to an offering bowl she had dedicated where there was room, instead of removing hers, even adding the respectful title of Osiris to her name.And then there are the blatant math errors in the chapter on Nefertiti! Prof Cooney states that Akhenaten was 30 when he became king and married the teenage Nefertiti. She then claims that Tutankhamon was the son of Akhenaten by one of Nefertiti's daughters. Most of those girls were nowhere near childbearing age by the end of the reign; while the eldest could have been, there was not enough time for her to have borne a child and for that child to have been as old as Tutankhamon was when he became king.The constant emphasis on conspiracies and politicking within the court and the sexual role of the harem in each and every chapter gets old fast. Please avoid damage to your professional reputation and go back to your work on coffins, Kara.

There is so much to recommend in this book. Cooney examines the trajectories of six female pharaohs from the Old Kingdom to the Ptolmiac period: Merineth, Neferusobek, Hatshepsut, Nefertiti, Tawosret, and Cleopatra, discussing the similarities of their experiences as kings and drawing parallels to wider truths and similarities of women and power - and patriarchy - today.Most of these women were "placeholders" for men - tolerated as such so long as they did not "overstep" traditional gender roles as protectors of younger (male, of course) successors - essentially playing the part of the protective mother who has no interest in actually being in power. That these women also tended to act as regents during periods of upheaval and rapid political change is, Cooney argues, also part of the reason they were permitted to wield such authority.The exceptions - Hatshepsut and Cleopatra (and, perhaps, Nefertiti) - were of particular interest, as much for how these women took and held power as for how they were (and are) remembered after their deaths. In short, Hatshepsut's monuments and name was largely erased (her name, like that of Smenkhare) removed from the king's list ostensibly because they reached too far as women. Cooney's discussion of Nefertiti - and whether she is or is not Smenkhare, and the subsequent end of the 18th dynasty - was fascinating even in its brevity. For those unfamiliar, among Egyptologists, the identity of Smenkhare specifically, and the details of how Ay and Horemheb came to power is one of tremendous controversy.The real heart of the book, however, is the connections between the ancient past and the present. This is, after all, the whole point of studying history. Cooney does a masterful job of dating parallels between these powerful women and contemporary politics. That some, such as Benazir Bhutto, have learned how to align themselves with men of the past as they stake their political claim and therefore be accepted, as contrasted with Hillary Clinton who boldly sought to break away from the patriarchal power structure when she proclaimed, "... I challenge assumptions about women. I do make some people uncomfortable, which I'm well aware of, but that's just part of coming to grips with what I believe is still one of the most important pieces of unfinished business in human history - empowering women to stand up for themselves." That we in the early 21st century are seeing women in increasing numbers challenge traditional power structures in the workplace, in the military and in politics is both reason for celebration and, given the lessons of history, reason for concern, as power does not easily or readily concede.Come readers may take issue with the strong connections Cooney makes about women and power and the strong, bright lines that connect attitudes across time around the issue. I found her evidence compelling, her reasoning unassailable, and her writing clear. I very much enjoyed the book and highly recommend it.
