This book is a nice resource for authentic historic fence ideas. It was originally published in 1963 so the photographs are themselves are archival. The measured drawings are very helpful for getting an idea of scale and basic construction. Its not a generic how-to book but a useful resource for fence planning.
I garden and build on my 1/3 acre lot and this book was not helpful to me. It is an old book with old information and some will find it useful from a historical view of yard enclosures or perhaps it's for landscape architects.
I would not recommend anyone purchase this book. It's not worth the purchase price. The book consist of drawings and photographs of old fences.
