The CD is as important as the book, and I wouldn't buy it without the CD. Having said that, the price difference of the book vs. book+CD is ridiculous.
My teacher recommended this book. She likes teaching this method and I have found it practical to use. I have three books in the series and use the CD to practice with that is provided with the book.
We play the CD in the car and I think it helps my daughter with her pitch. The CD has a simple piano accompaniment - doesn't overwhelm the cello part.

You know this is an awesome book, or you wouldn't even be looking, right? :) The cello teacher was pleased it came with a CD.
Fidelity on CD is not great and it has a few drop outs. Overall, the book has really helped my playing.
What's to say - everyone who knows, loves Suzuki. Recommend seller.
